Match Of The Year
ZAH: To me, this is probably the most difficult winner to choose in 2015. I think there have been some spectacular matches in 2015 from all around the globe. The names included in these matches are easy to recognize: Cena, Nakamura, Rollins, Tanahashi, Styles, Strong, Okada, Owens, etc. But at the end of the day, I cannot deny the in-ring display and the genuine emotion provided by Bayley vs. Sasha Banks at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. Listen, this is coming from a guy who HATED women’s wrestling up until two years ago, so for me to do such a complete 180 is saying something. Bayley and Banks ripped into each other and made the crowd believe. They put on an incredible contest that had everybody standing on their feet when all was said and done.
Canadian Bulldog: I'm inclined to go with ZAH here. There were some very good matches this year, and even though the WrestleMania main event of Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar was by no means a technical masterpiece, it had a big fight feel that has been missing in wrestling for years. I also loved the first John Cena vs. Kevin Owens encounter. Still, Bayley vs. Sasha Banks from NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn was the cream of this crop. They told one hell of a great story and the crowd was extremely into it.
