The year was 1994. Forrest Gump and The Shawshank Redemption were cleaning up at the box office. OJ Simpson was fleeing from justice in his Ford Bronco. A young Joe Piscopo taught us how to laugh. And - most importantly - a bunch of my friends were still seriously into professional wrestling.
This brings us to RotissirieMania, a fantasy (or rotissirie) league for wrestling that we'd developed in 1991, which continued to gain momentum each year. By year four, the competition became so fierce that I'd even printed up a comprehensive manual (using, for some reason, an electronic typewriter and cutting out magazine pictures).
