The Brooklyn Brawler

The Brooklyn Brawler, a/k/a Steve Lombardi, Kim Chee, Abe Knuckleball Schwartz and other names, was part of WWF/E for over 30 years and never held a championship. Sure, he was enhancement talent or part of the office for most of that time, but the guy does hold a pinfall victory over none other than Triple H.

You may be amazed by the number of top WWF/E superstars who never captured any sort of championship during their time with wresting's biggest promotion, despite many having tons of skill and charisma, and many ending up in the WWE Hall of Fame later on.

Sure, many of these competitors held titles elsewhere, but once they signed with Vince McMahon (or, in some cases, Vince McMahon Sr.), they were never able to capture any sort of major gold. Perhaps they were past their prime by the time they signed or perhaps their persona never needed a belt to be over -- either way, they left the company without any sort of major championship.

To be clear, when we're talking about "major" championships, we're considering the following titles:

  • WWWF/WWF/WWE World/WWE Champion

  • World Heavyweight Championship/WCW Champion

  • WWE Universal Champion

  • WWF/E Intercontinental Champion

  • WWF/E Light Heavyweight/Cruiserweight Champion

  • WWF/E Tag Team Champion

  • World Tag Team Champion

  • WCW Tag Team Champion

  • WWE Raw Tag Team Champion

  • WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion

  • WWF/E Women's Championship/Divas Champion

  • WWE Raw Women's Champion

  • WWE SmackDown Women's Champion

  • WCW/WWF/WWE United States Champion

  • NXT Champion

  • NXT Women's Champion

  • WWF Hardcore Champion

  • WWF European Champion

  • ECW Champion (in WWE)

Please note: some titles, such as The Million Dollar Belt and WWF Canadian or WWF North American Championship, do not count for the purposes of this list. And to qualify, wrestlers had to be in the WWF/E for more than one match, and in a prominent role.

Ready? Here we go!

Cryme Tyme appeared in WWE from 2006 to 2007, and again from 2008 to 2010, with one member of the duo (JTG) remaining with the company until 2014, years after Shad Gaspard was let go. Despite feuding with The Worlds Greatest Tag Team, Big Show and Chris Jericho and other teams, they never held the tag titles.

"Outlaw" Ron Bass

Another superstar to put in the "not yet" category is Big Cass, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury. Coming to NXT from FCW, Big Cass had a top tag team with Enzo Amore (who himself just won his first championship in WWE), moving to WWE in 2016 and beginning a big singles push, just before his injury.
