With The Showcase Of The Immortals coming up in mere days, Canadian Bulldog and the CBW staff writers (ZAH, Mike Rickard and Adam Zimmerman) make their predictions on who will win and who will lose at WrestleMania 32!
ZAH: I feel sorry for Roman Reigns; I really do. Here is a guy who was super-over with fans when he was the quiet muscle within The Shield to a guy who gets booed on television regardless of who he is battling or what he is doing. It’s a shame because it’s not his fault, yet the vocal minority have turned casual fans against him, as well. This match will end with Reigns getting his WrestleMania moment as the company’s #1 babyface while subsequently being booed out of the building.
Adam Zimmerman: HHH for the gold. I don't think he's ready to let go of the title quite yet.
Mike Rickard: The question isn’t whether Roman will win, but how. Will he overcome interference by the Authority? More importantly, will the fans care when he wins?
Canadian Bulldog: The only way to do this properly is to have Roman Reigns win and immediately turn heel. Maybe it's the way he reacts to the fans, maybe The Rock starts in Roman's corner and is betrayed. But if you think about how WWE is building for the year ahead, they NEED a heel Roman to be matched up against the likes of Dean Ambrose, Brock Lesnar and the returning babyfaces such as John Cena, Randy Orton and (probably) Seth Rollins. Otherwise, who does he face after Mania without the fans abandoning the product in droves? The choice is clear.
