It’s a tale as old as the wrestling business itself: the best heels end up being the best babyfaces when they make their turn. And similarly, super-over babyfaces can become hot heels with the right storyline.
So why, oh why, does WWE continue to shove Roman Reigns at everybody as a babyface?
My question, after all of the rambling above, is why won’t WWE just turn the damn guy heel already? I mean, is there any doubt in anybody’s mind that he could be the hottest heel WWE if given the opportunity? Would the male fans still feel like cheering the guy if he turned heel?
And I understand that Vince is trying to promote the guy as the top babyface and doesn’t want to “risk” turning him heel. I get it. But you’ve got Seth Rollins waiting in the wings who could’ve been the #1 babyface on the roster if you only brought him back the right way from his injury. Instead, he’s been struggling to find his identity as a babyface and there’s nobody to blame but WWE Creative and Vince himself.
Roman Reigns NEEDS to turn heel.
